We found the perfect track for our thriller opening called "Gather Around" from www.freeplaymusic.com. The track creates a sense of suspense and terror through a build up of all the orchestra at once. The track has violins being plucked which makes a sound that would be associated with running/trickling water which is a thriller convention. It also slows down at points at the same time as not as much action as other points in the scene almost tricking the audience into thinking that the victim has a glimmer of hope when trying to escape. The music builds up at the end with the killer bringing the knife down to the victims neck and as it the knife hits and the main character wakes up from the dream the music suddenly stops almost creating an anti-climax as you would expect more from the scene but it's actually just the main character waking up from what he thinks he is a dream.
Give some explanations as to why this track would be suitable. Refer to your research and thriller analysis.
